About the event
We’re delighted to welcome Mark McCabe to the farm; head chef and co-owner of The Ethicurean and our first guest chef of the season!
Mark worked at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage before stepping into the kitchen at The Ethicurean, a Michelin Green Star restaurant set in a bountiful walled garden. This year Mark represented Scotland in Great British Menu, competing with top chefs across the UK.
A long-time supporter of regenerative farming, Mark is focussed on seasonal eating and sustainable dining, and is a passionate advocate for responsible working practices within hospitality.
Join us for a 5 course menu under October’s full moon, known as the Hunter’s Moon!
We’ll be celebrating the start of the game season with local venison alongside plenty of seasonal produce, served on shared tables in one of our cosy, renovated barns
This menu will be showcasing meat and will contain dairy. On this occasion, we are unable to cater for specific dietary needs. Stay tuned for plant based evenings coming your way in 2024.
Please arrive promptly at 18:30 so that we can be seated and ready to eat at 19:00. The meal will finish around 23:00.
We will be serving a small but carefully selected range of low intervention wines, local beer and cider.
If you’re keen to bring a special bottle, we charge a one off corkage fee of £10 per person to bring your own drinks.
